Favorite thing
I recently bought a new nail color and im IN LOVE. It's so pretty but it also feels really sophistacated and serious, which I like for making springy outfits seem more down to earth. I also love how versatile it is, if you use one coat its a purple-ish red and if you use a second coat (as shown here) it makes a super deep, almost black red. I think this color is a perfect alternate to a plain black because its much more interesting but its not too flashy of bright.
What im totally lusting after
As we get further and further into spring my desire for summer clothing grows even stronger, i came across this darling summer dress and all i can say it im totally in love.

bonafide beauty
This week my friend Anna of bonafideanna lent me her totally spectacular boots, which I am one hundred percent in love with. I wore them out a few nights ago and when I put them on I felt totally transformed into a new, more edgy me. I took some shots in my new persona and needless to say, I'm in love with these boots. Anna's Boots are available HERE. |
Music Spotlight
one example of lead singer Shingai Shoniwa's amazing style. |
So often it seems that fashion and music go hand in hand. Marc Jacobs had a live band at his fashion show, Madonna was the face of Louis Vuttion. Another thing they have in common is Shingai Shoniwa's (lead singer of The Noisette), mastery of both of them. I love their music especially their song Cheap Kicks, which is from their first album, Wild Young Hearts.
Inspired By Andy Worhol
Over my recent trip to Chicago I got to see an original Andy Warhol. It was to say in the least, inspiring. Here are some bold, colorful, and flirty peices that capture the same playful sophistacation of Andy Warlhol.

Chica Go-Go
I just got back from a short trip to Chicago (which I just realized spells chica-go!) and I was so inspired by the lovley architecture, the art in the modern museum, and just some of the street style there. Here are some of my favorote pics frome the trip.

Feelin' It
I've been pretty obsessed with polyvore lately (you may have already known that from our last few posts), but what I'm even more excited about lately is spring! I know Rosa has already done a few posts on spring but I wasn't really feeling it until now. Here are some things I would love to have in my spring wardrobe!

Bona Fide Anna
This is one of our really good friends, Anna's blog. She's super cool and will basically be blogging about her life, what she does, what she likes. Anyways, check it out because she's worth your while.
Spring
Here are some of the cutest and girliest items for spring. I love all the bright colors that are showing up right now. -And how cute are those panda flats!

Effy Inspired
This is a set I made on polyvore inspired by Effy from Skins. Skins is one of our favorite shows and not only is Effy my favorite character but a style influence as well. She goes for a bit of a grunge look. An example of an everyday Effy outfit would be a mini skirt, loose tee, fishnets, combat boots, and a leather motorcycle jacket.
